Ben Ray as the title character was buff and agreeable. His interactions with Jennifer Jewell as the attractive Daisy Mae were sweet as pie. (Daisy Yokum) Christina Manzo and Justin Ahdoot as Mammy and Pappy Yokum were grizzled and gregarious together as they offered goofy morality.
